Big Brother Recap: The Leftovers Continue to Dominate the Game

August 11, 2022

Just when you think the week is already mapped out, those crafty Big Brother editors try to make you believe things are changing.

At the top of Wednesday’s new episode, Monte, Joseph, and Terrance were on the block for eviction, with the plan being to replace them with Daniel and Kyle.

Daniel is the big target this week, but did the Leftovers manage to get through the week without being split up?

Daniel understood that he was a lone wolf, and he recognized a similar quality in Terrance, who is pretty much a shield for Joseph and Monte at this stage.

Both Daniel and Terrance wanted HOH Michael to take a shot at Monte, something that would destroy the Leftovers, but does Michael want to take that shot?

He certainly thought about it, alongside Kyle, Brittany, and Taylor, but thankfully, they all realized it was too soon to make such a decision.

Taylor had a strained relationship with Monte from the get-go and wanted to send him packing before joining an alliance with him.

Getting Daniel on the block would mean putting Kyle up because of the Festie Bestie twist, something you could tell scared him.

Undoubtedly, Kyle’s allegiance to the Leftovers should be questioned because he cares more about his showmance and not going on the block than everyone else.

It’s a shame, but his game is about to implode before his eyes unless he realizes that he’s playing too many angles as the other players are dwindling.

The Veto competition signaled the return of OTEV, and honestly, the singing was god-awful. We’re sure many fans turned their TV sets down to avoid hearing it.

It was a fun competition, but the winner was predictable. Michael won his fourth Veto, meaning he’s won every single Veto he’s played.

That’s got to be some sort of record, but it also paints a big target on his back for the coming weeks.

We know the Festie Bestie twist lapses this week, and the Leftovers will have to start scrambling to get each other out before long.

When that happens, look for Michael to be one of the first out unless he manages to nurture his connections and promise final two deals to everyone.

There wasn’t much other drama in the house in this episode, but Jasmine was still trying to find out who took a bite out of her muffin.

It made for a comical segment, but does anyone really care about that particular storyline?

There’s a game to be played here, you guys.

At the end of the episode, Michael saved Terrance, Monte, and Joseph, sending Kyle and Daniel to the block.

It was an uneventful episode, for sure, but the next HOH competition should shake things up.

Big Brother continues Thursday at 9 p.m. on CBS.
