She’s having the last laugh.

Australian model Robyn Lawley is celebrating news of the Victoria’s Secret fashion show’s cancellation, thanking fans for their support of the petition she launched against the show last year.

“Thanks to everyone who signed the petition last year and thanks to @modelallianceny for your stance on model rights,” Lawley, 30, on Instagram, after an opening shot of “Guess they didn’t use much diversity on their runway.”

Lawley, 30, began her campaign on Instagram in October 2018, writing “It’s time Victoria’s Secret recognized the buying power and influence of women of ALL ages, shapes, sizes, and ethnicities.” Inspired, she said, by her daughter Ripley, whom she says inherited her body type, Lawley was joined by VS competitor ThirdLove, which offers 74 different bra sizes.

Shortly before her petition, Lawley gave an interview to The Project in which she said she “hates” VS but suggested the fashion world was, by and large, changing. “I think the fashion world has to wake up. And I think they are, very slowly.”

The show was plagued not just by criticism from models like Kate Upton and Karlie Kloss, but also from figures like pop star Halsey, who slammed the lingerie giant for lack of inclusivity on the same day the 2018 show aired on ABC. Helping matters least, of course, was an interview with Vogue published in November 2018 with the fashion show’s “architects,” Ed Razek and Monica Mitro, who shunned the idea of adding plus-size or transgender models to the show.

Ratings for the 2018 show were the lowest in five years, at 3.3 million viewers.
