Is Halsey drumming up a major media maelstrom just to annoy Emma Roberts?

Hollywood insiders say the singer went on a very public smooching spree with Roberts’ ex-fiancé, Evan Peters, and posed for pictures with both of them cradling her belly — which was guaranteed to generate pregnancy headlines.

The singer and “American Horror Story” actor Peters were repeatedly pictured on a PDA-filled day in Santa Monica, Calif., Sunday, making out on the beach, holding hands for a romantic stroll, and then patting her tummy together in full view of the paparazzi.

While Halsey’s reps didn’t comment on the predictable baby buzz, insiders say this isn’t the first time the singer has put on an attention-grabbing, over-the-top public display with Peters. One said, “Halsey is just being cute and provocative. That’s her game.”

Peters was previously engaged to former “Nancy Drew” star Roberts, whom he had dated for seven years. They called off their engagement in the spring, and then he went public with Halsey with a Sept. 21 trip to Six Flags.

Halsey seemed to have made it her personal mission to have Peters when he was with Roberts. In 2012 she tweeted: “Seriously Evan Peters stop making me attracted to alleged sociopaths and accused murderers.” The following year she wrote, “Petition for Evan Peters to date me,” and, “How does Evan Peters manage to be so cuddly and boyish, and then the next second I want to grab a fist of his hair and lick his whole body.”

Roberts even had to handle the indignity of Halsey and Peters making out like teenagers in front of her at an “American Horror Story” party to celebrate the show’s 100th episode in October. With Roberts at a nearby table at LA’s Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Halsey and Peters — decked out in matching polka-dotted Sonny and Cher Halloween costumes — put on another public display of affection. “Emma took the high road and didn’t react,” a source told us.

A rep for Roberts didn’t comment.
