Cast member of Broadway’s ‘Tina’ gets injured on stage

November 18, 2019

Broadway’s “Tina” was stopped mid-performance Thursday, when one of its stars got hurt.

Sources told Page Six that Mars Rucker “stepped on a trap door as it was closing” during an early scene and ended up in the hospital.

Reps for the musical, which also stars Adrienne Warren as Tina Turner and Daniel J. Watts as Ike Turner, told us, “The show quickly stopped. The actor was brought to the hospital for an examination. [She] sustained superficial injuries and will be back in the show shortly.”

Rucker later wrote on Instagram, “I’m okay!! Will be out for a lil bit but thank you to everyone who reached out.”
