There's probably gonna be a lot of posts featuring crazed Republicans today on the site, so I wanted to spare you for a minute, anyway, and give you the trailer for Enola Holmes, a Netflix movie starring Millie Bobby Brown as Enola Holmes, Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes, Sam Claflin as Mycroft Holmes, and Helena Bonham Carter as Enola's mother, Eudoria Holmes. That is a hell of a cast, not to mention Fiona Shaw and Burn Gorman (where has he been?). Enola is Sherlock's sister, and here she is searching for her missing mother.

The film looks like an absolute blast.

I know it sucks that we don't have movie theaters at the moment, but September is shaping up to be a pretty good month for movies, with Mulan on Disney+, this on Netflix, in addition to Charlie Kaufman's film, I'm Thinking of Ending Things, and Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson's The Devil All the Time. We're gonna be just fine.

Here's the logline:

After a free-spirited childhood, Enola suddenly finds herself under the care of her brothers Sherlock (Henry Cavill) and Mycroft (Sam Claflin), both set on sending her away to a finishing school for "proper" young ladies. Refusing to follow their wishes, Enola escapes to search for her mother in London. But when her journey finds her entangled in a mystery surrounding a young runaway Lord (Louis Partridge), Enola becomes a super-sleuth in her own right, outwitting her famous brother as she unravels a conspiracy that threatens to set back the course of history. Based on the beloved book series by Nancy Springer, ENOLA HOLMES is a dynamic new mystery-adventure that introduces the world's greatest detective to his fiercest competition yet: his teenage sister. The game is afoot.

Enola Holmes premieres on Netflix on September 23rd.
