Jeff Lewis is recovering in the hospital after undergoing neck surgery.
Megan Weaver, Lewis’ co-host on the SiriusXM show “Jeff Lewis Live,” told fans via Instagram on Thursday, “He made it!” Posting a picture of Lewis, 50, in the hospital with a neck brace, she added, “Thank god I still have a job. Successful surgery and recovering in hospital. Thank you for all your DM’s checking in,” before joking of pal Heather McDonald, “Put funeral plans on hold @heathermcdonald.”
According to People, Lewis underwent the surgery two weeks after being diagnosed with the spinal cord disease Cervical Myelopathy.
“There is a disc actually in my neck that’s pushing against my spinal cord and has bruised my spinal cord, which has caused nerve damage,” he said on a recent episode of his show (via People), adding that “if it goes untreated it can cause paralyzation — and it gets progressively worse.”
After his surgery, Lewis decided to go for the jugular — not the heartstrings — by taking a jab at ex Gage Edward and their custody battle.
The “Flipping Out” star posted a meme of Edward pulling the plug on him, captioning it, “It’s Monroe Edwards (sic) now, Bitch!” The jab comes after Edward reportedly made a request earlier this year to legally change their 3-year-old daughter’s name from Monroe Christine Lewis to Monroe Christine Edward Lewis.
