There are few men who are as synonymous with the phrase ‘Hollywood heartthrob’ as Brad Pitt. The 53-year-old actor has been admired by people around the world for his dashing good looks since he rose to fame in the early 90s.

It’s often said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and plastic surgery has made it easy for people to radically alter their appearances. These twin brothers spent $20,000 on surgery in an attempt to look like Brad Pitt.

At the age of 21, Matt and Mike Schlepp from Arizona began their transformation. Their journey was documented on MTV’s I Want A Famous Face, which followed fans going under the knife to make themselves look like their favorite Hollywood stars.

Matt and Mike were motivated to get plastic surgery because they believed that looking like Brad Pitt would help them have more success with women. However, plastic surgery comes with no guarantees, and people can end up looking nothing like they intended to.

In fact, Brad Pitt’s ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, recently hit the headlines when it emerged that an Iranian teenager had gone under the knife in a quest to look like the actress – with shocking results. But first, let’s see what Matt and Mike looked like after their surgeries.

Whilst plastic surgery might sound like a quick fix, it can take months for a person to see the results, and the twins were unable to eat properly for some time after having their procedures. Despite this, they were delighted with the results which reportedly helped them “get more girls”.

To transform themselves into Brad Pitt, the twins had to have a number of procedures. Mike had a nose job, cheek, jaw and chin implants, and Matt had a nose job and a chin implant. They also decided to get a Hollywood smile and had 41 porcelain veneers between them.

In an interview with MTV, Matt said, “It was more than worth it. I would do it ten times over. It has definitely helped me get more girls. I’ll walk and get that double-take from girls and hear the whispering that follows.”

“I’ve had such a dramatic change that girlfriends I hadn’t seen in a while couldn’t stop staring, and said they wanted to cry! If that doesn’t make you feel good, then what would?”

“I never knew that I could be as happy as I am right now,” Mike added. “I feel on top of the world by the few tweaks that I went through. Go through with the surgery now because you don’t want to go through life always feeling down with the way that you look.”

I Want A Famous Face stopped airing in 2005, and it’s not known whether the twin brothers fell prey to the addictive nature of plastic surgery and went under the knife again, or whether they remained happy with their results.

However, one person who knows all too well how addictive plastic surgery can be is 19-year-old Sahar Tabar, who has had more than 50 procedures in an attempt to look like Angelina Jolie. But the results were arguably a lot less successful than the twins’ procedures…

Born in 1998 in Tehran, Iran, Sahar Tabar was a naturally beautiful young woman. Despite this, she felt the need to go under the knife because she wanted to emulate her hero Angelina Jolie. She said was willing to “do anything” to look like the 42-year-old Tomb Raider star.

The results of Tabar’s surgeries were extreme, and after her photographs went viral last week, many people said that she looked more like Emily from Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride rather than Jolie. Others questioned whether her look was also the result of prosthesis and makeup.

“I do believe she got plastic surgery,” one commenter wrote, “but it’s more or less makeup and extremely exaggerating her features.”

People have also questioned the ethics of the doctors who allowed Tabar to go to such extreme lengths to look like Jolie. She reportedly lost a considerable amount of weight trying to obtain Jolie’s thin frame, and now weighs just 40 lbs according to The Sun.

As a result, it has been suggested that she is suffering from anorexia and body dysmorphia.

Dr. Michael Salzhauer, a celebrity plastic surgeon, said, “This woman needs hospitalization, a feeding tube to increase protein intake and major intensive psychiatric therapy or she may die of starvation.”
