After Her Daughter’s Tragic Death, This Mom Found A Secret Note In Her Belongings

January 30, 2018

On September 24, 2013, Kristina Chesterman’s family made the agonizing decision to switch off her life support machine after a turbulent two days in which the 21-year-old was declared brain dead following a tragic accident.

The young nursing student, who was studying at Chico State University, had been cycling in the bike lane just one block away from her home at 11 pm when she was struck by a 19-year-old drunk driver.

Riley Hoover, who was four times over the drink-drive limit, smashed into the promising second-year student, sending her flying 120 feet and her bike 210 feet. The Ohio teen, who was on felony probation at the time, is currently serving a seven-year sentence at Folsom State Prison in California.

Shortly after the tragic death of her daughter, Sandra Chesterman took to Facebook to share her pain. “Feeling an unbelievable, unimaginable loss right now,” she wrote. At this time, a grieving Sandra was completely unaware of the comfort she would later find whilst cleaning out Kristina’s apartment.

“I opened up a drawer and I found just this makeup bag,” Sandra told CBS News. But there wasn’t any makeup inside the small spotted bag, instead, it contained one sheet of lined paper.

It was Kristina’s bucket list.
