Last week Page Six revealed that veteran New York comic Big Jay Oakerson was dragged off a 5-foot-high stage by a furious audience member.
Now Oakerson has revealed more details about the incident — this time from his vantage point onstage at the Philly-area comedy club Soul Joel’s. Club owner Joel Richardson told us the attacker was set off when the audience cheered as his sister — who had been heckling — was kicked out.
But Oakerson said on his SiriusXM show “The Bonfire” that there was more of a lead-up to the violence.
The comic said he’d got into a discussion with the woman after she’d yelled that everyone in the audience was racist. He said the lady first claimed that she was pregnant with a black child, then said that, in fact, she had aborted the child. Oakerson said he joked, “Miss, you’re so concerned about racism, but you’re the only one who’s confessed to murdering a black person.”
Oakerson said the remark “broke her.” “She started screaming at the top of her lungs,” he said, adding that she then stunningly “slugs her mom” — who joined her at the show — “in the chest.”
He said that while security was distracted by the woman, her brother attacked him.
