Margaret Josephs and Melissa Gorga brought the heat to the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” Season 10 reunion — with a little help from their favorite hairstylist.
Julius Michael created a volumized ‘do on Josephs, 52, while he styled Gorga, 40, in a sleek and chic ponytail.
“My inspiration for Margaret was, I kind of based it off the jewelry and the dress that she picked out and I decided to do more of a Marilyn Monroe look,” Michael told Page Six Style.
“She wanted me to recreate the ‘Watch What Happens Live’ look where I did a faux lob on her, but I felt that was too modern-looking for that [outfit].”
To achieve the look, he used a Hidden Crown topper to create longer-looking locks and added clip-in extensions to her regular shaggy layers. He used a three-quarter-inch curling iron, and flat-ironed the ends of Josephs’ hair to finish the style.
Michael said it took “probably 45 minutes to an hour of physical work on her, and then another 30 minutes on the extensions,” but that wasn’t the only way Josephs prepped for the big day.
The Macbeth Collection founder previously told Page Six Style that she had her facelift touched up prior to filming this season, and had her eyebrows microbladed and got a spray tan ahead of the reunion.
When it came to Gorga’s look, Michael didn’t want the star’s hair to upstage her Walter Collection jumpsuit ($1,995).
“She wanted to do a half-up, half-down [style], but being in a jumpsuit, her hair had to be pulled back,” Michael told us. “I wanted her to have a more relaxed look where the outfit would be the powerful focal point of the look and the hair was the accessory.”
He used hair extensions and a special bungee-type band to hold her ponytail together.
” I knew it was going to be an 18-hour day, so that ponytail, I couldn’t take a chance of it sliding or moving, because their look has to look consistent throughout the entire reunion,” he said.
The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” Season 10 reunion airs Wednesday, March 4 at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
