There's a dark phenomenon on Twitter. When you see a celebrity's name trending, your mind might leaps to one of two things: 'Oh no! They said something horrible!' or 'OH NO MY BELOVED CELEBRITY IS DEAD!' This was certainly the fear many Twitter users had this morning when they saw "Van Dyke" was trending. Good news: Dick Van Dyke is not dead. Bad news: A pedestrian bridge in Detroit called Van Dyke collapsed.

Click on Detroit reports the collapse was caused by a truck that was too tall to fit under the bridge. No injuries have been reported. More importantly, the 94-year-old national treasure, Dick Van Dyke, is alive.
