Rihanna at Queen & Slim Premiere.

For the first time since 2016, Rihanna will release new solo music on Friday, October 28. The song, ‘Lift Me Up’ was made for the Black Panther sequel. According to the movie’s director, Ryan Coogler, the 34-year-old musician was motivated to work with the team out of respect for the late Chadwich Boseman.

“Honestly, I think it was Chad,” Coogler told the PA news agency on the red carpet at the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premiere. “A lot of improbable things needed to happen for it to come through and Rihanna was very clear that she did that for him.”
