The 1992 film “My Cousin Vinny” is getting a boost following Rudy Giuliani’s odd press conference last week.
The Joe Pesci-Marisa Tomei comedy has been in the Top 10 on iTunes, and was still at No. 5 on Tuesday. Giuliani re-enacted a scene from the film, saying, “It’s one of my favorite law movies because he comes from Brooklyn.” Referring to poll watchers, he said, “These people were further away than ‘My Cousin Vinny’ was from the witness.”
Director Jonathan Lynn told the Hollywood Reporter he views Giuliani’s praise as “generous from the man … currently giving the comedy performance of the year.”
