New York sports legends are helping people get in the holiday spirit.
On Monday, former Mets and Yankees World Series champion Dwight Gooden, ’69 Mets champs Ed Kranepool and Art Shamsky, former Giants All-Pro Sean Landeta and 1970s Knicks star Earl “The Pearl” Monroe helped Gristedes and D’Agostino CEO John Catsimatidis give out hundreds of frozen Butterball turkeys to those in need on West 30th Street.
We’re told that Catsimatidis announced he will also provide some 10,000 turkeys to St. Francis Food Pantries & Shelters across the tri-state area.
