Melania Trump to possibly pen memoir on time spent in the White House

November 28, 2020

President Trump may not be the only one in the White House cashing in with a book deal after his presidency.

Sources exclusively tell Page Six that usually private Melania Trump has been taking meetings about penning a tome on her time as first lady.

“Melania is in meetings to write her White House memoir,” an insider said. “And it would be her money — a chance for her to earn on her own.”

The source added, “I’m told her husband is encouraging her” to pen the book. “She’s not done, or going as quietly as you might expect.” Plus, “in the wake of Stephanie Winston Wolkoff’s betrayal, in both print and on secret tapes, Melania’s story could be worth big money.”

Wolkoff was once Melania’s best friend and adviser who published the tell-all “Melania and Me” in September. Melania blasted Wolkoff in an essay last month published on the White House Web site, calling her a “dishonest opportunist” who “clung” to Melania for fame. Wolkoff also released embarrassing tapes of conversations with Melania. But Melania fired back that the recordings were “out of context,” and that the book was “idle gossip trying to distort my character.”

The Justice Department then announced it was suing Wolkoff for allegedly violating a nondisclosure agreement with the book.

A book from Melania could set the record straight on some of her notable White House episodes — from that infamous “I really don’t care, do u?” jacket that she wore in 2018 to enduring a coronavirus infection.

The book business surrounding the Trumps — pro and con — has been booming. We recently exclusively reported that Trump relative Mary L. Trump is already shopping a follow-up to her best-selling tell-all, “Too Much and Never Enough,” and that President Trump could land a multimillion-dollar book deal himself after leaving office.

A White House rep did not get back to us.
