Kanye West conjures up past Taylor Swift feud with ‘snake’ tweet

While he may not be looking to reignite his past feud with Taylor Swift, Kanye West conjured up their former rift Friday afternoon when he tweeted a photo of a snake along with caption, “Not gonna use a snake emoji cause you know why … I’m not sure if Christians are allowed to use snake emojis.”

Fans who have followed their years of contention know Kanye and wife Kim Kardashian once used snake emojis to describe Swift after the singer denied she gave West permission to refer to her as a “bitch” on 2016 single “Famous.” Kardashian also chose to send out the tweet on National Snake Day.

“Wait it’s legit National Snake Day?!?!?They have holidays for everybody, I mean everything these days!” Kardashian wrote at the time.

Swift later embraced the dig, including snake imagery throughout her “Reputation” album era. She also addressed Kim and Kanye fans who repeatedly labeled her a slithering reptile, and how it almost led her to quit.

“A couple of years ago, someone called me a snake on social media and it caught on,” the singer explained, according to Washington Post. “And then a lot of people were calling me a lot of things on social media. And I went through some really low times for a while because of it. I went through some times when I didn’t know if I was going to get to do this anymore.”

The Wests have reportedly rented out an entire 500-acre resort deep in the San Juan Mountains to focus on their marriage.
