Universal Bumps Amblin’s Spielberg-Produced Haunted Mansion Movie ‘The Turning’ to 2020

Originally set for release early this year, Amblin, Dreamworks and Vertigo’s Steven Spielberg-produced The Turning, an adaptation of The Turn of the Screw, has been bumped back to 2020, we’ve learned today. Universal will now release the horror film on January 24, 2020.
Finn Wolfhard, Brooklynn Prince and Mackenzie Davis lead the cast.
In the film, a young woman hired as the nanny to two orphans is convinced that the country mansion they live in is haunted.
Floria Sigismondi directed the film with Jade Bartlett penning the most recent draft from Chad and Carey Hayes’ (House of Wax, The Conjuring 2) original script.
Scott Bernstein and Roy Lee are producing, with Spielberg exec producing.
