Kathie Lee Gifford has no interest in dating through the internet or apps
Kathie Lee Gifford is ready to find love for the holidays — but she’s no fan of the dating apps.
The TV personality, who moved to Nashville, Tenn., following the loss of her husband Frank in 2015, admitted she has found this year hard, just like everyone, with some “tough days.” She was linked with insurance agent Randy Cronk last year.
But talking to longtime pal Jill Martin on her “Holiday Steals and Deals” special on Peacock, Gifford said she is currently single, adding: “When people ask me, ‘Are you looking for love?’ my attitude has got to be, well, I’m not actively looking for it. I can’t go on Web sites, and you know, dating apps and all that kind of stuff.”
She said she met former NFL great Frank at “Good Morning America” one day at 4 a.m. “I looked over at somebody in the dressing room, the best set of buns I’ve ever seen in my life, just leaned over a sink, putting in contact lenses.” She said of their relationship: “I was supposed to be in that hallway that day; he was supposed to be in that room, putting in contact lenses. We were supposed to be. And I’d rather anything that happens in my life for the rest of my life to be organic and authentic that way, too.”
Gifford — who recently released her movie “Then Came You” with Craig Ferguson — said both of her grown-up kids, Cassidy and Cody, are moving to Nashville. She joked: “Can you believe it … I’ve not interfered in my children’s lives. They have interfered in mine, many times, but not me the other way around!”
