Christmas came early for Swifties everywhere, making Nov. 25 the new Dec. 25 for Taylor Swift fans.
Taylor Swift announced a new concert documentary titled “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions,” just one day before it was set to drop. The doc is streaming exclusively on Disney+, and was officially released Nov. 25 at 12 a.m. PST. Since then, mere hours into the day, fans have flocked to the platform to sign up.
The film was also teased on YouTube, in case you need any more reason to sign up to see the full film. The video shows a more stripped down Swift from what you’d normally see on stage, offering an intimate look at the recording process of her Grammy-nominated album, Folklore.
“This could have been a time where I absolutely lost my mind, and instead I think this album was like a real flotation device,” Swift said in the video.
Taylor tweeted the news on her Twitter account, and also announced the small but star-studded cast, including Bon Iver, in addition to her two other producers and collaborators, Aaron Dessner of The National and Jack Antonoff of the Bleachers and Fun.
To join Taylor and her band in her studio in Hudson Valley, New York, all it takes is a subscription to Disney+. It follows either a monthly subscription rate at $6.99/month, or an annual rate of $69.99/year. The yearly rate saves about $14, so after you finish the film, go and stream “Mulan,” which is free for subscribers in December, or rewatch “Hamilton” as many times as you possibly can.
After subscribing, Disney+ can be streamed pretty much anywhere with internet, including most cell phone and tablet devices, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and through TV software such as Roku, Amazon and Chromecast, or on most smart TVs.
