Horror Icon Tom Atkins, ‘Scream’s Jamie Kennedy Join Halloween-themed ‘Trick’!

February 07, 2019

It was announced a few weeks back that writer Todd Farmer and director Patrick Lussier, who collaborated on  My Bloody Valentine 3D and Drive Angry, would be reteaming on Trick, a brand new Halloween-themed horror film that’s set to go into production later this month.

Bloody Disgusting just learned, thanks to Production Weekly, that the duo is also reteaming with horror legend Tom Atkins, who appeared in their My Bloody Valentine remake. Atkins, as you should know, has appeared in several high profile horror films from the criminally underrated Halloween III: Season of the Witch to Escape From New York, The Fog, Night of the Creeps and even Creepshow.

In addition, Scream and recent Tremors star Jamie Kennedy is also said to be in talks to join previously announced Dermot Mulroney.

The film centers on an elusive serial killer who descends upon a small town annually and is responsible for gruesome murders year after year, each in different jurisdictions and seemingly unrelated. No one believes this could be the same killer, but Detective Mike Denver (Mulroney) has faced Trick once before — he shot and killed him. Or so everyone keeps telling him.

Ellen S. Wander of Film Bridge International will produce alongside Revek Entertainment’s Gabriela Lugo.
