Sadly, we still don’t know just when The Last Of Us Part 2 will finally hit (either this year or the next, depending on who you ask). The game made an appearance at last year’s E3, and we did have that gloriously gory trailer, but nothing in terms of a release date has been announced. Leave it to the game’s composer to add to the speculation.

While in Kuwait performing at a concert, The Last Of Us Part 2‘s composer Gustavo Santaolalla stated that the game would be “coming very soon”. Obviously, the concert attendees went nuts upon hearing that, despite Santaolalla not giving any sort of date. Also, “coming soon” could be translated into the game being released in the next year. After all, the ones who know the date are developer Naughty Dog themselves, and they’re keeping mum.

Still, wouldn’t it be nice to have the return of Ellie the same year we have Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 5, Mortal Kombat 11, and other highly-anticipated horror video games? Stay tuned, as always.
