Barbara Walters, one of the most accomplished and respected journalists of her generation, passed away on Friday night, according to the star’s representative.
She was 93 years old.
“Barbara Walters passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones,” Cindi Berger said in a statement, adding:
“She lived a big life. She lived her life with no regrets. She was a trailblazer not only for female journalists, but for all women.”
Over the course of her career, Walters wrote for CBS News… worked on The Today Show… co-anchored the ABC Evening News… reported for 20/20 … and helped create The View on which she frequently appeared as a co-host until retiring from the program in 2014.
Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger also announced Walters’ death, tweeting that the “one-of-a-kind reporter” had died at her New York home.
“Barbara was a true legend, a pioneer, not just for women in journalism but journalism itself,” Iger wrote, noting that his colleague and friend of 30 years had landed some of the “most important interviews of our time.”
In the wake of this sad news, a bevy of other celebrities also paid heartfelt tribute to Walters. We’ve listed some examples below…
Oprah Winfrey: “Without Barbara Walters there wouldn’t have been me — nor any other woman you see on evening, morning, and daily news. She was indeed a Trailblazer. I did my very first television audition with her in mind the whole time. Grateful that she was such a powerful and gracious role model. Grateful to have known her. Grateful to have followed in her Light.”
Dan Rather: “The world of journalism has lost a pillar of professionalism, courage, and integrity. Barbara Walters was a trailblazer and a true pro. She outworked, out-thought, and out-hustled her competitors. She left the world the better for it. She will be deeply missed. RIP.”
Elizabeth Vargas: “Truly saddened to hear of the passing of Barbara Walters tonight…she shattered glass ceilings and blazed a trail for so many women in television news who would follow her…like me. I will never forget her.”
Tamron Hall: “The Legend. The Blueprint. The Greatest. Rest in Peace Barbara Walters.”
Star Jones: “I owe Barbara Walters more than I could ever repay. Rest well sister…mother…friend…colleague…mentor.”
Meghan McCain: “Barbara Walters will always be known as a trail blazer. Her hard hitting questions & welcoming demeanor made her a household name and leader in American journalism. Her creation of The View is something I will always be appreciative of. Rest in peace you will forever be an icon.”
Viola Davis: “What can I say about the life, the legend and icon Barbara Walters. I watched you my entire life give the most bold, honest, informative, brave interviews. You redefined what it meant to be a ‘newsperson’. You redefined womanhood. It was an honor to have shared space with you. Rest well Queen! You have earned your crown.”
Alyssa Milano: “Rest In Peace, Barbara Walters. Thanks for helping me find my voice.”
Hugh Jackman: “Deb & I are so sad that Barbara Walters passed away. She was a trail blazer, wickedly funny, generous, open hearted and a good friend. She also gave some of the most memorable dinner parties we’ve ever been to. Get ready heaven, Barbara’s coming to spice things up.”
Tamar Braxton: “I didn’t want to become a daytime talk show host until I saw the view. I knew it was possible because I seen a group of opinionated smart women who had a voice and a platform. This one hurts. Thank you Ms Barbara.”
Walters never remarried after divorcing her third husband, Merv Adelson, in 1992.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline (“Jackie”) Danforth, with ex-husband Lee Guber.

Perhaps more than any previous year, 2022 made us realize, in both real life and fiction, that billionaires are not inherently more intelligent and better than everyone else. From Jurassic World: Dominion and The Glass Onion, to Elon Musk and the fall of crypto/NFTs, here’s to hoping we learn our lesson for 2023 and stop trusting these rich idiots.
IRL billionaire embarrassments
Elon Musk
Somehow, no billionaire has done more for banishing the myth of the rich genius than Elon Musk. His buyout of Twitter has allowed the whole world to see for themselves the ridiculous shortsightedness of his “leadership” abilities, in addition to his general lack of common sense. This crack in the facade is making people look twice at the “richest man in the world.”
Christmas movies tend to take the spotlight for the bulk of December, but the week in between December 25 and January 1 just hits differently. It’s a time to reflect and look forward, which makes it the perfect occasion to pop on a movie that involves a New Year’s celebration. Here are 10 fun choices, many of which are often overlooked.
10. New Year’s Evil
That’s right, a New Year’s horror movie exists! The killer in the movie has a unique plan: to murder people as the new year begins in each American time zone.
Another day, another casting rumor for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This time, it comes from Twitter user @MyTimeToShineH, a leaker whose previous tips included Matt Murdock’s MCU debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home. On December 28, the anonymous person behind the account posted a tweet in which he claims, “Ben Affleck had talks with Marvel Studios to play Dario Agger in an upcoming project.”
This rumor should be taken with a grain of salt, of course, and although there’s no official report to back up the claim that Affleck is heading to the MCU, it’s an interesting rumor to consider. Affleck previously played the titular hero in 2003’s Daredevil, opposite Jennifer Garner as Elektra, and he recently played Batman in the DCEU. If he joins the MCU, it will be his second time taking on a Marvel character and his second major superhero movie franchise.
Most of the time in the Bravo world, Real Housewives will garner immediate icon status when she utters an amusing quip or unforgettable tagline. But hovering on the sidelines are the male counterparts who might also have something witty and clever to say – people just care less about it.
Today we will acknowledge some of the more memorable musings by a Househusband that left if not a mark, at least a worthwhile zinger. Some of the husbands might be replaced gone, but their words of wisdom will linger for at least another decade.
PK Kemsley / Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Ah Pantygate. Back when we were young and innocent. Some of us (me) were even less bitter before this once great show reached the murky waters of racist bots and Aspen meltdowns that may or may not have taken place. The Season 7 finale of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills saw a lavish party held by Lisa Vanderpump. And we found out exactly what PK Kemsley thought of Erika Jayne. All that glitters is not gold — or diamonds, or rosé. The party was lavish and the behavior was ugly. After a season of pesky fights, it all came to a head when Dorit Kemsley, Erika, and PK had a strained conversation. When Lisa Rinna found herself physically way too close to Dorit, PK swooped in to defend his wife. Rinna then lit the match and threw it directly on Dorit. “What you did to Erika for months, I’m sorry, it’s disgusting,” Rinna said, referencing the lingerie issue no one really cared about. Erika jumped in and began saying how Dorit called her “cold” and “heartless.” Then PK says, “I am upset because I’m watching you gang up on my wife.” He then added, “Erika, you’re not deliberately cold. You’re inherently cold.” The British accent just made it so… succinct. Point to Paul Kemsley. That was a great moment.
Todd Tucker / Real Housewives of Atlanta
Good ‘ol Todd Tucker is married to Real Housewives of Atlanta mogul Kandi Burruss. We were all surprised when Mama Joyce actually allowed Todd to become legally married to her daughter, but Joyce did try like hell to prevent it from happening. Many thought Todd wasn’t worthy of Kandi’s love or her joint bank account. According to Todd, not many would qualify anyway. Picture it, the Season 14 reunion. Things are tense. Marlo Hampton fires shots at Todd because she’s still mad she doesn’t have a rich husband, and Todd takes Marlo to task. The conversation began when Andy Cohen questioned Todd about Marlo’s comment that he wasn’t in Kandi’s tax bracket. Todd refuted the assertion, spread his arms wide, and said, “Everybody in this room is below Kandi’s tax bracket.” I have no notes, this was perfection.
Aaron Phypers / Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Here’s a good time to remind readers we are reviewing “best” quotes by Househusbands and “quirky” falls under the umbrella of what we are referencing today. With that, I give you Aaron Phypers, formally of RHOBH. Aaron might be married to Denise Richards, and he may have seen quite a few weird things in his life. But this man clearly was not prepared for the agony of having to sit around a bunch of women who were jealous of his wife. Denise’s husband has an unconventional healthcare job. He runs a Malibu healing center that practices “frequency medicine.” At a dinner party over at Kyle Richards’ house, Teddi Mellencamp’s boo-hooing over being called boring is no longer the weirdest thing that went down. As Aaron tried to explain the nature of his job, it became clear he had concerns over his personal welfare. Aaron bewildered everyone at the table whilst trying to explain his work at the healing center, delving into complex topics like atomic energy, cancer, and modern medical myths. This is when Denise began warning Aaron of saying too much. Then Aaron hits the room with, “I have people following me all the time.” It was explained, “certain organizations” don’t like to see the healing results his work provides because “they’d make a lot of money otherwise.” I’ll withhold comment because I don’t want anyone following me, either.
Mario Singer / Real Housewives of New York
I know we are all waiting with bated breath for the return of Real Housewives of New York starring no one we know and barely anyone we’ve ever heard of. Fingers crossed, amirite? A tense Season 3 opened with a riled-up Luann de Lesseps after losing her meal ticket spouse, Count Alex de Lesseps. Not only had Ramona Singer’s adulterous husband, Mario Singer made a harsh remark while muttering under his breath, “COUNTLESS,” Luann was still in shock. That’s right, it’s the infamous slur that went viral (if the Hamptons is considered viral.) The Countess was referred to as “Countless” by Mario, and now Lu wants an apology. She goes to town on Ramona with the kind of icy, brutal wrath we’ve come to expect from Countless Lu and Jill Zarin is right there by her side. Tears were shed, screams were heard. Mario might have called Luann “Countless,” but years later when Ramona discovered his infidelities, Lu called it “Karma“.
Ken Todd / Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
The hills were alive with the sound of “GOOD-BYE KYLE!” Sources say if the wind is blowing just right on certain days, the dulcet tones of Ken Todd’s dismissal of Kyle Richards still lingers in the air. And if the weather is perfect, you can almost hear it in Encino. Probably the most memorable Real Househusband quote has to go to Lisa Vanderpump’s husband. The iconic RHOBH moment took place during the Season We No Longer Speak Of – or you can Google #puppygate. After Lisa was blamed for sharing stories to the media in an effort to make Dorit look bad, Kyle put on her best hat and rode up the mountain to confront Lisa directly. As Lisa swore her innocence on her children, her dog, her own life, and on multiple Hermés bags, Kyle held her unwavering stance. Lisa then kindly asked Kyle to get the hell out of her house while Kyle began to wonder if listening to Rinna and Teddi was the hot take she thought it was. Out of nowhere bellowed Ken with, “GOOD-BYE, KYLE!” Ken, never one not to take up for his beloved, was finally sick and tired of Kyle’s shit. Kyle and her hat swiftly departed the premises before the attack swans were summoned. Ultimately LVP quit the show and to say it has gone downhill ever since would be an understatement of epic proportions. And that, my friends, is probably the best Husband moment in Bravo history.

She’s gearing up to be a part of our world and we’re seated and ready to see it. The Little Mermaid is up next on Disney’s slate of its beloved classics getting the live-action adaptation treatment and with the recent success of Pinocchio (if you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend it), the excitement is on for Ariel, her sisters, and her friends from under the sea.
First released in 1989, the original Little Mermaid was loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale of the same name. The film went on to win an Oscar and has since secured itself as among Disney’s most beloved classics, with children and adults alike knowing all the words to some of the musical’s greatest hits like “Part of Your World,” “Under the Sea,” and “Kiss the Girl.”
Can We All Agree to Let These Toxic Plus-Size Romance Novel Tropes Die?
For many years, I bought into the idea that romance novels were terrible and I should steer clear of them if I respected myself. I had Anne Rice’s books and copious amounts of fanfiction, so what else did I need? After a friend recommended I read a certain paranormal romance, my journey into the often-ridiculed genre began. Reading mainstream romances, as well as sub-genre books, gave me so much more enjoyment than I thought they would. However, no matter how many books I looked through, it was hard finding a lead with a body type I could relate to.
Romance novels featuring plus-size main characters are few and far between. When you are a bigger person, sometimes you get sick of reading about slim hips or how someone’s large hands almost encompassed a small waist. You want to read about bellies, thick thighs, and full butts getting the love they deserve. Once I finally found some, reading books with real plus-size characters felt so good. Until I realized many of them are filled with harmful tropes that feed into negative body images rather than erase them.
Are There Actually Any Plot Holes in ‘Glass Onion’ or Were You Just Not Paying Attention?
Oh do I love reading ‘plot hole’ pieces that aren’t actually plot holes. I’m sorry to the people who wrote the pieces I’m going to be referencing in this but also I’m not sorry because what you’re calling a plot hole is actually just a plot point! If the movie itself explains it to you, then it isn’t a plot hole—you just weren’t paying attention.
With a movie like Glass Onion, there are plenty of mysteries that might have been left unsolved by you, the viewer, but after watching it more than once, you might start to see the answers to the questions that you asked after the first time. It’s the nature of a murder mystery. Plot holes come when a movie or a story ends and there are still loose ends that are not tied up or things that don’t make sense and are just glossed over. It’s your “somehow, Palpatine has returned” moment, if you will.
Tori Roloff Says Time on Little People, Big World is “Coming to a Close”
It sounds, very much, like we’re nearing the beginning of the end for Tori Roloff on television.
On December 27, the veteran Little People, Big World cast members took part in a Q&A session with her Instagram Stories fan base.
At one point, Roloff was asked share her “favorite and least favorite” thing about filming the TLC reality show, which has been on the air for over 23 seasons.
“All the misconceptions people have of us and our family because they only get to see what TLC shows them,” Tori said of her least favorite part of the program.
As for her favorite aspect, the mother of three revealed that the series allows her to experience “cool things,” meet “awesome people,” the crew and that her family gets “ to share our story (kind of).”
From there, someone asked Tori how long she and husband Zach will remain in front of the cameras.
While Jeremy Roloff left Little People, Big World in 2016 and Jacob Roloff departed two years before that… these spouses have been central members of the show since it premiered way back in 2006.
“I think our time is definitely coming to a close but we’re trying to enjoy it while it’s here!” Tori replied to this question.
It’s not the first time she’s sounded pessimistic about her professional future, either.
Last month, Roloff responded in the affirmative when asked if she would ever step away from the show.
She did so amid an ongoing feud between her husband and her father-in-law, as Zach blasted dad Matt back in May after the latter seemingly snubbed his kids upon placing his farm up for sale.
In an Instagram remark back then, Zach said Matt was not “taking responsibility for his own actions and blaming others” for the fallout from this farm sale.
“[My father is] dragging the family drama that he created and then [manipulating] the fan base to make himself come out okay,” Zach wrote, even labeling his own father as a coward.
“This post hits a new shocking low of cowardice and manipulation of his family and kids for his own gain,” Zach added, referring to his dad’s claim that he tried to give Zach a deal on the property prior to placing it on the market.
Zach and Tori ultimately purchased a home in Washington in late 2021.
More recently, Tori expressed dismay over all this Roloff family drama.
In a candid moment, she also said on air that she’s been exhausted from parenthood of late.
“When you have a lack of sleep and you feel like you’re sinking and failing as a mother, it can be frustrating,” she said in a confessional, adding:
“I do breakfast, feed the kids, get Jackson ready for school, take him to school.
“Then come home and Siah goes down for his first nap and then it’s just me and Lilah, and we play. He wakes up, we do lunch. It’s exhausting.”

The Dragon Ball series is great if you wanna watch a million of something.
Seriously, there’s a lot of episodes. I went over a big-ass watch order in another article, but if you just want the gist of it or more of a general overview, you’ve come to the right place. Here’s my hot take on the best way to watch the entire Dragon Ball series.
Hocus Pocus 2, the long-awaited sequel to the cult classic 1993 film, premiered on September 30 on Disney+, where it became a pretty big hit. It even attained the title of Disney+’s most-watched original film ever, gaining 2.7 billion minutes of views in its first weekend. Critically, Hocus Pocus 2 faired alright, earning largely mixed-to-positive reviews from critics. However, it’s worth noting that the first film eventually made a comeback as a cult classic after it was initially panned by critics—i.e., critical success isn’t always the best measure of a film’s quality.
Hocus Pocus 2‘s high viewership showed that its cult following is still present and will show up for the franchise. As a result, fans are curious as to whether Hocus Pocus 2 will lead to a Hocus Pocus 3. After all, the film’s ambiguous ending does leave the door open for a potential continuation of the franchise. After the Sanderson sisters—Winifred (Bette Midler), Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker), and Mary (Kathy Najimy)—seemingly meet their conclusive end, it is revealed in the post-credits scene that there is another Black Flame Candle. Hence, the sisters could be summoned by the candle once more.
The most popular anime series tend to be on the (relatively) serious and intense side. Most of the popular anime we watch isn’t remotely grounded. However, sometimes a chill slice of life is what you need, and The Way of the Househusband is a delight to watch. It’s for sure one of the best Netflix anime originals and is seemingly faithful to the manga.
Netflix hasn’t promoted season 2 enough, and it’s a shame because more people need to know that a new season is coming out. There may not be a boatload of details out there, but there’s enough to keep us excited. Also, there are cute animals that can talk to each other!
After her exit from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Teddi Mellencamp has found success as the cohost of Two Ts In A Pod alongside Real Housewives of Orange County’s Tamra Judge. However, Teddi always seems to get into a little bit of trouble once she gets behind that mic. She recently slammed a Beverly Hills castmember as “clueless,” relentlessly weighs in on drama from other Housewives franchises, and now, she’s coming for the “OG of the OC,” Vicki Gunvalson.
As heavy. reported, the two T’s dished about Vicki during a recent episode of their show. During the podcast, Teddi referenced her Watch What Happens Live appearance from earlier this year, where she talked about a positive moment she shared with Vicki during BravoCon.
“There was a moment where she looked at me, and she was like, ‘I feel alone right here,’ and I was like, ‘I got you,'” Teddi shared with Andy Cohen on WWHL.
It’s a sweet story, but there’s a problem: Vicki says it didn’t happen. During the podcast, Tamra shared that Vicki refuted Teddi’s BravoCon anecdote. So naturally, Teddi is upset.
Teddi declared, “Now I don’t even want to be around her. I sat there and told her that she looked nice. I wasn’t lying. I really believed it when she had that beautiful, nice, expensive dress on, she was nervous and insecure about — I was like, ‘no, listen, you should feel proud, you look beautiful in that.’ I went out of my way to be kind to her because I know what it feels like to be the odd man out,” she added.
Teddi also lamented about how she wants to be in Vicki’s good graces since they share Tamra as a mutual friend. However, it just doesn’t sound like that’s a friendship that’s meant to be
Teddi said, “You and I are obviously close, we have fun, it’s effortless, and so I did my best to make her feel comfortable and then for her to double down and say s*** about me, now I’m annoyed that’s what it takes, I get freaking annoyed.”
With Teddi being “freaking annoyed,” Tamra volunteered to try to smooth things over with Vicki. In the following Two Ts In A Pod episode, Tamra revealed that she reached out to Vicki on Teddi’s behalf.
Tamra said, “I told you that Vicki said that never happened, and then you were on a mission to talk to her, and I was like, ‘no, it’s okay,’ so I texted her and said, ‘Teddi’s upset, duh, duh, duh,’ and she said ‘it’s no big deal.'”
Teddi replied that she also considered reaching out to the “OG of the OC,” but only after downing “more than half a bottle” of champagne.
“You know what’s a big deal? Me looking through my phone log and seeing that I’d apparently called her,” Teddi quipped. “Thank god, the other – and I had written up texts that thank god I didn’t send.”
Although Vicki says this situation is “no big deal,” it’s safe to say that this isn’t the last we’ve heard of the on-again, off-again feud between Teddi and Vicki. With Vicki making a comeback to RHOC next season, and Teddi working full-time on this podcast, it’s only a matter of time before someone’s feathers get ruffled again.

Accio criticism! J.K. Rowling has been receiving a lot of well-deserved flak lately. As a trans person, I’m here for it. Her capacity for nonsense is as boundless as the Forbidden Forest. I mean, she’s opening a women’s resources center in Edinburgh that literally turns away trans women! That’s like opening a halfway house for wayward Hogwarts students and then turning away all the Gryffindors! I guess that’s why she’s interested in making a “halfway house” anyway, because it’s only halfway useful. Sure, it’s good that she’s trying to start an organization that “helps women,” but if it turns away certain women then it’s really not “helping women” after all?
Personally, I think she needs to take her ass to Platform 9 and 3/4 and walk into a couple walls. Maybe that’ll get her head back on straight.
For those who don’t enjoy the typical selection of Christmas movies, there are plenty of non-festive options to choose from. These aren’t the saccharine sweet, dime-a-dozen Hallmark movies, or even the genuine feel-good classics. Some of these movies show the holidays aren’t the most wonderful time of the year for many people. Whether it’s horror movies, family dramas, tragic queer romances, or messy comedies, there’s something in these movies for the Grinches and Scrooges and even the Cindy Lou Whos of the world in our list of the best Christmas movies for people who don’t like Christmas movies.
The Lion in Winter
Imagine the Game of Thrones Christmas special, and that’s what The Lion in Winter is in a nutshell. Katharine Hepburn shines as Lady Elinor, an Olenna Tyrell-like matriarch who is released from prison to spend the holidays with her family in all their messy, royal glory.
HBO just released the runtime of the first episode of The Last Of Us—and you’ll want to make sure you have snacks. It’s a bumper episode that trumps even some of the lengthier TV shows on our screens at the moment.
For context, here are the runtimes of recent HBO show premieres:
Marvel has seemingly forgotten that it is Hanukkah, or maybe they’re just ignoring the holiday. The first night of Hanukkah was on December 18 and many companies acknowledged the holiday, usually through a quick social media post wishing everyone a Happy Hanukkah. Although it’s not required, it is nice to see companies acknowledging Jewish culture and giving recognition to the many holidays that take place in December besides Christmas.
However, with Marvel specifically, one would expect them to acknowledge the holiday considering that Marvel’s creator, Stan Lee, was raised in a Jewish home. Despite this fact, Marvel has never been good at acknowledging or honoring its Jewish roots. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) tends to erase the Jewish heritage of its comic book characters while adapting them for the screen. For example, Wanda Maximoff was Jewish in the comics, but Marvel opted to write that part of her character out.
There He Is! Khloe Kardashian Reveals Son’s Face for the First Time
Khloe Kardashian gave fans an unexpected Christmas present over the weekend.
In a beautiful snapshot, the long-time reality star wore a red, strapless Nicolas Jebran gown — while dripping in Lorraine Schwartz diamonds — while holding hands with four-year old daughter True, who matched her mom in a dress from LA ROXX with neutral Converse shoes and a red bow in her hair.
And in Khloe’s arms?
Her five-month old son.
“Merry Christmas,” the 38-year old wrote via Instagram on Monday, December 26.
As far as we can tell, the picture above marks the first time Khloe has given us a real look at her second child — who was born this summer via surrogate.
And, yes, who’s father is Tristan Thompson.
Khloe has not yet dropped the baby’s name.
In another photo, Khloe and True were seen enjoying a mother-daughter moment.
“My precious girl,” Khloe captioned the image, thanking the clothing brands for making their matching attire.
All focus and attention, however, has been on Khloe’s son ever since this picture went public.
Up until Khloe welcomed the child, no one even knew that she and Thompson had gotten together to procreate once again.
Tristan, of course, cheated on Khloe back when she was very pregnant with True.
The couple eventually got back together, though, only for Tristan to cheat AGAIN in 2019.
In 2020, the on-off boyfriend and girlfriend quietly got back together — and in 2021, they decided to have another baby together, although broke up later that year.
In between? Thompson got a woman named Maralee Nicholes pregnant… while apparently engaged to Kardashian.
“Khloe, you don’t deserve this,” Tristan wrote on social media after admitting just under a year ago that he had impregnated Nichols.
He added at the time:
“You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you.
“You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you.”
Khloe’s second kid, meanwhile, made his television debut on the September 22 season 2 premiere of The Kardashians.
At the time, his mom held him in her arms as she bonded with the newborn; and sister Kim Kardashian gushed:
“Oh, my gosh, he looks just like True!”
Tristan was not present for the baby’s birth.

Recently I was delighted to see that a Queer/Femme comics pop-up was being hosted at Stories Books & Café, one of my favorite haunts in LA. It wasn’t just any pop-up, though: it was filled out with the likes of Lisa Hanawalt and Julia Wertz, two of my idols in art and storytelling. I gathered a little group together and we checked it out, only to find that a few vendors had dropped out due to COVID concerns.
That ended up working well in my favor, though, because I got to meet Koreangry: someone whose comics on Instagram were so impactful to me as an Asian woman, I didn’t follow her for the longest time because they hit too close to home. In the end, the event was more than worth it just for the chance to talk to her, and see her iconic clay doll self in person (yes, it’s just as cute and angry as you’d expect). I bought a book and a sticker, and then picked up a beautiful planner from another Asian vendor, Hellen Jo (whose art is featured up top), on the way out. In total, I spent around $60.
Put up yer dukes, ye’ scurvy landlubber. I’ll fight ye tooth and nail!
So ya wish to know the greatest of all the battles in all the vast seas of the world? Well, shiver me timbers! How the hell am I supposed ta’ know that? One Piece be a shonen anime, everyone in the world is fighting all the damn time! Why just afore breakfast I bested ten men myself! And I’ll best ten more come lunch time! I’ve been in every kind of fight there is! Wedding fights, funeral fights, why I’ve even challenged some of literature’s finest minds to a brawl!
Christmas is a time to spend time with your loved ones.
And, as you can see below, this is exactly what Janelle Brown did over the weekend.
“Merry Christmas 2022!” the mother of six wrote as a caption to the first photo featured here… which, of course, does NOT include Kody Brown.
The long-time Sister Wives cast member certainly looks pretty darn happy to be celebrating this holiday for the first time in ages as a single woman.
Just a week earlier, TLC viewers witnessed Janelle confirming that she is no longer spiritually married to the aforementioned polygamist.
“Kody and I have separated,” Janelle said simply on the Season 17 tell-all special.
“I am separated from Janelle,” added Kody in his own interview. “And I’m divorced from Christine.”
So there we finally have it, folks.
Elsewhere, there this second photo late last week of daughters Madison Brush (née Brown) and Savanah Brown.
“Christmas puzzles are a thing with @janellebrown117, @savanahbrown and I. So, here we gooooo!” Maddie wrote via her Instagram Stories on Friday, December 23.
Janelle shares her two daughters in addition to children Logan, Garrison, Hunter and Gabe with Kody.
Brown hasn’t said a whole lot in public about her split from their dad, but she did note several days ago 2023 will be her year.
Nearly two weeks earlier, Janelle shared a health progress update with her Instagram followers, many of whom interpreted the update as some sort of subtle message about moving on.
“This health journey I’ve been on has been incredible,” Janelle captioned a post, which featured a snapshot of her standing in front of a wall with the word “PIVOTAL” scrawled across it it.
“It’s all about slow and steady that wins the race.”
The break-up confirmation referenced above has taken Sister Wives fans by stunned storm, although many recent episodes made the tension between these spiritual spouses VERY evident.
“To be honest with you, I really don’t know if I want to do the work,” Janelle said on the latest Sister Wives installment, which was filmed back in 2021.
She added of Kody on air:
“It feels like I’m being forced to choose between my children and this group. I don’t feel like my children are welcome.”
Janelle previously admitted to having serious questions about her relationship due to the way Kody had been treating her.
“I just think we’ve never had divides this deep,” she said in a confessional this fall.
“And now, Christine has left and that’s obviously a very, very big departure from what our family has looked like for many years.
“This is like the ultimate test of our family. Can we hold it together with all of this?”
The answer appears to be a big fat NO.
And Janelle? Much to her credit?
She’s totally fine with that.
