Alexandria “Lexi” Zahra Jones — the 19-year-old daughter of late rocker David Bowie and model Iman — recently shared that it’s been at least six months since she’s seen the legendary runway diva she calls mom.

People reports that Jones took to Instagram Sunday to pay tribute to the statuesque icon in a since-deleted post for Mother’s Day, telling followers that she’s been unable to visit due to their bi-coastal locales and COVID-19 social-distancing orders.

“Happy mothers day again here’s another w me holding a chikkken nugget,” Jones wrote beside a photo of herself as a toddler in Iman’s arms. “Everyone pls stay inside I haven’t seen my mom for 6 months because we live on opposite coasts and it is very difficult to leave ny right now but I’m a child and i miss her dearly so pls be party poopers this one time so it doesn’t take 2 f–king years to see her again thank you!”

Jones also posted a photo of her childhood self kissing Iman on the lips, captioning the loving snap, “Happy mama day to my mommy and to all the mommys💕.”

Iman took to social media herself on Mother’s Day as well, honoring family matriarch — her own late mother — Marian Abdulmajid.

“Hoyo, we let go the loss of you but never the love,” Iman, 64, wrote. “As Somalis we celebrate our mothers everyday #RIP #Maryan #EveryDay #MothersDay.”

Lexi is Bowie and Iman’s only child. The deceased Bowie is was also father to film director Duncan Jones, 48, from his marriage to first wife, Mary Angela Barnett.
