Darren Criss and his new wife, Mia Swier got dressed to the nines this week, not for a red carpet, but to go around Los Angeles taking photos in front of billboards of Criss’s new show “Hollywood” that is being streamed on Netflix.

As red carpets and premiers are no longer happening due to the coronavirus pandemic, the couple took matters into their own hands and decided to have a premier of their own.

“What, you didn’t think we’d have our own little premiere party,” Criss captioned an Instagram post “This is HOLLYWOOD, darling.”

Created and helmed by well-known director Ryan Murphy, “Hollywood” takes a look at Tinseltown post-World War II, and what it takes to achieve your dreams while maintaining a slightly historical view and shining a harsh light on race and inequality.

To give their premier the Hollywood glitz and glamor feeling, Criss wore a tuxedo while Mia wore an evening gown complete with gloves and fluffy boa. The couple also wore facemasks in all photos and managed to maintain a safe distance from pedestrians going about their business.

The series is available to stream on Netflix on May 1st, and includes a star-studded cast featuring Jim Parsons, Patti LuPone, David Corenswet, Samara Weaving and many more.
