George Stephanopoulos revealed Monday that he has tested positive for coronavirus, nearly two weeks after his wife, Ali Wentworth, confirmed her diagnosis.

Speaking on “Good Morning America,” Stephanopoulos, who has been broadcasting from home told his co-hosts that his diagnosis is “really no surprise,” but that he is thankfully “basically asymptomatic” — unlike Wentworth.

“I’ve never had a fever, never had chills, never had a headache, never had cough, never had shortness of breath,” the 59-year-old newscaster said.

Wentworth, who tested positive for the virus earlier this month, is now doing “much, much better,” Stephanopoulos said.

“She’s going on her fifth day now with no fever, which is really a great sign,” he said of the author and comedian. “Slowly getting out of bed a little bit more each day, so really happy about that.”

Wentworth, who has been married to Stephanopoulos since 2001, has been recovering at their New York City home. The 55-year-old and Stephanopoulos are the parents of two children.
