Meghan Markle, Prince Harry to Queen: Snub Us If You Have To … But Not Our Kids!

July 27, 2022

Meghan Markle is the primary subject of a new book entitled Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors by journalist Tom Bower.

And as you might have guessed, the author’s portrayal of Meghan is not exactly flattering.

Bower argues that the relationship between Meghan and the Queen is worse than ever these days, and the monarch basically wants nothing to do with her granddaughter-in-law.

He’s almost certainly exaggerating, but a new report from Page Six seems to confirm that Meg and Liz are not exactly besties.

Liz, Meghan, Harry

Insiders initially claimed that Prince Harry, Meghan, and their two children had been invited to spend the remainder of the summer with the Queen at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

Liz reportedly arrived at the estate over the weekend and is expected to spend the next 10 weeks at her getaway to the north.

“Staff have been told to expect the full list of royals including Harry, Meghan and their children Archie and Lilibet,” one Balmoral source told UK tabloid The Sun.

“They are preparing for the Sussexes.”

But according to Page Six, Harry and Meg will not be making an appearance at Balmoral for the simple reason that they were never actually invited.

If true, this would amount to a colossal snub that would confirm earlier reports about a deep rift between the Queen and the Sussexes.

Harry and Meghan were invited to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebration in June, and for a time, it looked as though all was well within the Windsor clan.

But now, insiders believe the events of the Jubilee may have led the Queen to decide against inviting Harry and Meghan to Balmoral.

For starters, there have been claims that the royals were upset with Harry and Meghan’s behavior during their latest trip to London.

Insiders say the couple was hesitant to participate in the full schedule of events, and they frequently gave the impression that they would rather be elsewhere.

For someone like the Queen, who prioritizes duty to country and family above all else, such an attitude might amount to an unforgivable faux pas.

On top of the alleged concerns about the Sussexes’ attitude, sources believe the Jubilee might have factored into this latest snub in a different way, as well.

It was during the June celebrations that Elizabeth finally met her namesake great-granddaughter, Lilibet.

There was a time when it looked like the Queen would never get to meet Harry and Meghan’s youngest child.

Some insiders believe that once she made the meeting happen, Elizabeth might have felt that her obligations to the Sussexes had come to an end.

After all, the Queen was reportedly heartbroken by Harry and Meghan’s decision to step down as royals and speak to the American press about the strife within the Windsor clan.

Her rage and grief have reportedly been compounded by news of Harry’s upcoming memoir, which insiders have described as “a giant f-ck you” to the royals.

Harry and Meghan have been far more successful in America most of their critics anticipated.

But it seems that the Queen might have had the last laugh, after all.
