Baby Pandas Trying Climb Out Of Plastic Tubs Before Bedtime Are Melting Our Hearts

October 31, 2017

Everybody loves baby animals, especially when they're bear cubs, and especially when those cubs happen to be pandas. Pandas have been somewhat of a pop culture icon for years due to their declining numbers, so every time a baby panda is born, it makes the news.

Baby pandas are arguably one of the cutest baby animals in the world, and this video is proof of that.

Never being satisfied with being in one spot for more than a few seconds, the babies are constantly a handful for anyone to manage, their parents included.

They're beyond restless.

The babies that are trying to climb out of the tub are from the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda. The video was released by their keepers, who get to 'work' with the baby pandas all day, and it unsurprisingly went viral.

One of the little guys manages to fumble his way over the plastic prison at the end before the video ends. Probably an easy way to spot a future troublemaker at the center.

The growing number of baby pandas is why the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) took the species off of the endangered list last year.

Pandas have long been a symbol of the conservation movement, and their growing numbers are a great indicator that worldwide efforts to help prevent extinction of certain species work and work well.

That means that we'll have plenty of cute baby panda videos for years to come.
