The Crown star Emma Corrin, who played Princess Diana in the third and fourth seasons of Netflix’s royal drama, has called for the best actor and best actress categories at major film awards to be merged into a single, gender-free one.

“I hope for a future in which that happens,” Corrin told BBC News. “I don’t think the categories are inclusive enough at the moment.”
