Is Wanda a Bigger Part of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Than We Thought?

Wanda Maximoff costume

After Wanda Maximoff came into her own as the Scarlet Witch in Marvel and Disney+’s WandaVision, we finally got to see her in the full Scarlet Witch outfit that we’ve been waiting for. It was glorious, and we instantly knew that whatever the future holds for Wanda is going to be a big deal for fans of her comic book history. Her next turn in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but her full involvement in that movie is still unknown to us.

Now, it seems as if we have a bit more of an idea just how big of a part Wanda will play in Stephen Strange’s second film. Coming right after Stephen helps Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the film is most likely going to deal with the multiverse (as the title suggests), but how can Wanda play into this? Well, we at least have an idea that she’s going to be in it more than just as a cameo.

The new logo on the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stunt team hats have Wanda’s tiara as the Scarlet Witch, so does that mean she is a bigger party of the movie than we thought before? Is this a Wanda Maximoff and Stephen Strange movie disguised as just as Doctor Strange film, like Iron Man’s big role in Captain America: Civil War? Because if that’s the case, I’m even more excited than I was before.

It does mean that there are enough stunts for Wanda that she gets the logo, but does that necessarily mean that she is heavily featured in the movie? That’s still to be determined, but I think that Wanda is going to play a big part in the multiverse not only for her power, but because of the darkhold.

At the end of WandaVision, we saw Wanda separating two parts of herself to study the darkhold and learn everything she can. So does that mean that Stephen Strange is going to use Wanda’s knowledge to his advantage, or is he going to try to stop her? Am I going to have to fight Stephen Strange in honor of Wanda Maximoff? Probably.

But this hat is a good indication that Wanda isn’t just a brief moment in the film. She’s in it enough that she ended up on the stunt team hats, so at least we know we’re getting a good amount of Wanda Maximoff content coming our way. Whether or not that’s a good thing is now the question, because I don’t want to see my girl Wanda hurt again, but at this point, that’s probably a sure thing.

Until then, we can see Stephen Strange in Spider-Man: No Way Home as he helps Peter Parker figure out whatever mess he found himself in.
