Elisabeth Moss in Early Talks to Star in Leigh Whannell and Blumhouse’s ‘The Invisible Man’

March 02, 2019

One of the most exciting horror projects on the horizon is that Leigh Whannell wrote and will be directing a new The Invisible Man movie for Blumhouse and Universal, part of a new initiative from Universal in the wake of the failure of their Dark Universe. The lower-budget film is said to be character driven and scary, and casting is now underway.

Variety reports today that Elisabeth Moss (“The Handmaid’s Tale”, Jordan Peele’s Us) is in “the extremely early stages” of negotiations to star in Whannell’s fresh take.

Johnny Depp, who had been previously attached to The Invisible Man when it was going to be rebooted for the Dark Universe, is reportedly not part of this project.

More as we learn it.
