Kanye West’s ‘Sunday Service’ Is Headlining Coachella, Lack of Dome Be Damned
Despite severing ties with Coachella earlier this year due a lack of dome to perform in (???), Kanye West, just like our lord and savior Jesus Christ, works in mysterious ways. The festival confirmed on social media that Ye has indeed been lured back to perform next month in the scorching Indio wastelands, but with two caveats: He’s being billed as “Kanye West’s Sunday Service” as opposed to a solo act, and he’ll only be performing during Coachella’s second weekend on Easter Sunday. (Sorry, week one-rs.) There have been reports for awhile about how West is in the process of starting his own church, in the format of religious-themed weekly concerts that favor gospel versions of his songs. As such, the festival will double as his official public debut. Allulue-Ye!
