You’d better get right with your God, dear reader, because this is on all of us, or at least, all of us who took part in 2016’s seemingly never-ending Harambe meme. In news more cursed than a literal accused doll, tech billionaire Elon Musk inexplicably released “RIP Harambe,” a rap song dedicated to and about Harambe, the late, great ape-turned-internet punchline, on Saturday. Nearly three years after the Western Lowland gorilla was tragically shot and killed after a child climbed into his enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo, Musk celebrated his memory with lyrics like: “RIP Harambe/Sippin’ on some Bombay.” It should go without saying the song is extremely autotuned, officially making it the second worst thing to ever happen to poor Harambe.
