Attention, anybody who’s watched a Batman movie and wondered, “Hmm, what’s the backstory for Bruce Wayne’s butler?” The cable channel Epix has released its first teaser trailer for Pennyworth, a.k.a. The Butler Who Fucks. The spy drama will flesh out the background of Alfred Pennyworth — played here by The Imitation Game actor Jack Bannon, but in the Batman movies by Michael Caine, Jeremy Irons, and Michael Gough — in the years before he became Bruce Wayne’s butler, back when he was just a ex-Special Air Service operative who starts a security company in swinging ’60s London.

The ten-episode series, set to premiere sometime this summer, will follow the Pennyworth character as he first takes on his first job for Thomas Wayne, according to Epix. And from the looks of the teaser, he’ll do cool spy stuff with switchblades and kissing birds and whatnot. Pennyworth was created by Gotham’s Bruno Heller and Danny Cannon.
