Gretchen Rossi Says Braunwyn Windham-Burke Is “Very Inauthentic Because 1 Day She’s Straight, 1 Day She’s A Lesbian”; Says There’s “No Relatability” On Real Housewives Of Orange County Although She “Doesn’t Watch”
What can we say about Season 15 of Real Housewives of Orange County? It was boring. Braunwyn Windham-Burke was the center of the show. She revealed that she was an alcoholic, and RHOC viewers watched her begin her sobriety journey.
Then she announced that she was a lesbian and began dating a woman. She was still married to her husband, Sean Burke, and the couple planned to stay hitched. They have seven children together, but this situation is complicated. And Braunwyn stated that she would “be heartbroken” if Sean began dating other women.
In January 2021, writer Evan Ross Katz shared his feelings about the show. He tweeted, “It’s time to cancel RHOC.” Andy Cohen hit up Twitter and responded, “I think you mean reBOOT.”
Andy announced in March 2021 that the franchise was taking a breather. “I think that show’s really important to a lot of people and it’s the mothership of all the Housewives and so we just want to take our sweet time,” Andy stated. I think that the current cast must be nervous right now.
US Weekly reported that RHOC alum Gretchen Rossi shaded the franchise as “inauthentic” on the Getting Real with the Housewives podcast. Gretchen claimed that she didn’t watch Season 15. “I actually really haven’t consistently watched the show since leaving. Obviously if there was like an episode, I was a part of, or they were talking about me,” she said. Whatever you say, Gretchen.

Gretchen continued, “Unfortunately, I think there was just a couple of characters on the show that had so much going on in their lives that everyone was just like, ‘Wait, what?’ There’s no relatability.”
Then Gretchen slammed Braunwyn. “It felt very inauthentic because like one day she’s straight, one day she’s lesbian. You know what I mean? Like it was just kind of confusing,” Gretchen remarked.

“At least that’s what I’m gathering from what a lot of people have told me when I’m out talking to them or what you see in the comments.” Oh, that’s right–Gretchen doesn’t watch RHOC anymore. During Season 8, Gretchen proposed to serial housewife dater Slade Smiley. The over-the top proposal featured Slade flying in by helicopter so that Gretchen could pop the question.
But some people didn’t think that the proposal was real. “It just seemed like the proposal was all tied into the show,” Andy shared in the #RHOC Season 8 Uncensored Special. Gretchen replied that she “wasn’t going to do something for TV, wasn’t going to do something just to make money.” Still, none of Gretchen’s RHOC co-stars were at the engagement party. Gretchen said that she was told by producers that she couldn’t invite them. The producers denied Gretchen’s claim.

It’s ironic that Gretchen is bashing Braunwyn’s authenticity after that fake crazy proposal. And now that Tamra Judge is no longer part of the show, Gretchen would consider grabbing an orange again. Duh!
Maybe Gretchen and Slade should concentrate on their daughter, Skylar Gray, who was born on July 10, 2019. Something tells me that Gretchen shouldn’t wait by the phone for Bravo to call.
TELL US- DO YOU BELIEVE THAT GRETCHEN DOESN’T WATCH RHOC? SHOULD GRETCHEN RETURN TO THE SHOW? WAS GRETCHEN’S MARRIAGE PROPOSAL JUST FOR TV?
