Kanye West Prepares For Custody Battle: I Don't Want My Kids to Grow Up as Fake as Kim Kardashian!
Well, it was bound to happen,
From the moment we learned that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are getting divorced, onlookers predicted that the situation would turn ugly fast.
Now, it turns out those people were 100 percent correct!
Yes, the papers haven't even been filed yet and these two are already at one another's throats!
Kim and Kanye have billions in assets to divide, but so far, it looks like they're willing to stick with the prenup as far as cash is concerned.
What's creating problems, however, is the battle for custody of the couple's four children.
“Kanye has plans for the family to have a compound. It’s outside of L.A. in the desert somewhere,” a source close to the situation tells Hollywood Life.
“He’s absolutely done with living in L.A. and feels everyone and everything is fake.”
Well, nothing screams "sane, stable dad" quite like a freakin' compound!
Unlike Yeezy's other fortress in Wyoming, this one will apparently be close enough to Calabasas that the kids can stay with Kanye without missing any school.
“He doesn’t want to bring his children up that way,” the source says of Kanye's disdain for the "fakeness" of Los Angeles.
“He wants to build a compound in the desert," the insider adds.
"The geography of them as a family unit right now is a large source of the tension between them, but things are starting to get better as they begin communicating.”
Yes, in an ironic twist of fate, it seems that Kim's meeting with divorce lawyers has actually improved her marriage.
But that doesn't mean she'll be changing her mind about cutting Kanye loose in the very near future..
After all, he's still about that compound life, and it seems that's just not Kim's bag.
“This won’t affect their divorce because nothing has been decided or filed yet,” the insider explains.
“Kim seems to be really patient right now because at the end of the day, she doesn’t want to split up the family and since the communication has improved, she’s waiting on him to shape up," the source claims.
"She’d be open to having a compound as a place to visit, but not live full-time.”
As for the money situation, the Wests' prenup stipulates that Kim will receive $1 million for each year of the marriage.
The idea of someone as rich as Kim receiving spousal support might sound absurd, but it seems that the mother of four has every intention of securing that bag.
"Her financial advisors told her to figure out an exit plan that would be best for her whole family," says a source close to the situation.
Well, it's good to hear that Kim is entering this legal battle with a sound strategy in place.
You want to be ready for anything when you're dealing with a guy who lives in one compound and is planning to build another oner right near you and your kids!
We'll keep you updated on this situation as more information becomes available!
