Face The Hordes in New Gameplay Video For ‘Conan Unconquered’

March 05, 2019

A few months back, it was revealed that Funcom was working on a new real-time strategy game based in Robert E. Howard’s Conan universe entitled Conan Unconquered. Today, Funcom and developer Petroglyph have released a new gameplay video from the recent Alpha build of the game, which is now slated for a Q2 2019 release on Steam.

In the video, viewers get taken behind the scenes at Petroglyph’s studio in Las Vegas, with several of the veterans on the team offering insight into the game and its development.

The game will also be making an appearance at this year’s GDC, where those in attendance will get the first opportunity to try the fast-paced strategy game.

As you’ll see from the trailer, Conan Unconquered has you facing successive waves of enemies in ever-increasing numbers and difficulty. To withstand the hordes, players must build a stronghold and put up walls and other defensive measures to avoid utter destruction.

While the game can be played entirely in single-player, two players can also play together online to build a shared stronghold while fending off the enemy hordes allowing for a unique, cooperative multiplayer experience.
