A woman from Nebraska was complaining about her constant runny nose which turned out to be a horrifying health complication.

Every time Kendra Jackson would go to the doctor, the diagnosis would be the same—winter/spring allergies, congestion, a cold. But Kendra knew something was wrong when the fluid would drip continuously like a waterfall.
Her symptoms began after she got into a car accident in 2013.

She reportedly hit her head on the dashboard. Since then she’s had headaches, but she couldn’t understand why her nose was always runny.
“[It was] like a waterfall, continuously, and then it would run to the back of my throat,” Jackson told KETV.
She finally found out what was causing the migraines and runny nose when she paid a visit to Nebrasaka Medicine where she was diagnosed with a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak.

ScoopWhoop
She was leaking approximately a half-pint per day through her nose and if the condition was left untreated, it could lead to severe infections such as meningitis.
Kendra said that she couldn’t sleep and that the condition was severely impacting her life so she was advised to get surgery to fix it.
With today’s technology, patients can opt for a non-invasive method where they use angled cameras and instruments to allow them to get to the area where the leak is.

After the surgery, Kendra said that it made a world of difference.
“I don’t have to carry around the tissue anymore,” Jackson said with a laugh, “and I’m getting some sleep.”
