Lala Kent Denies Shading Megan Fox For Not Attending Randall Emmett’s Movie Premiere; Megan “Can’t Imagine” Lala “Doing Anything Negative”
All signs point to Lala Kent filming for season nine of Vanderpump Rules. Should be interesting to see which of her personalities shows up. It’s safe to say the days of innocent hostess ‘Lauren from Utah‘ are long gone. As are her drunken insult hurling and body shaming antics. Lala is now sober, engaged to director Randall Emmett, and a mother to her first born, Ocean.
Recently, Randall and Laler attended the premiere party for Randall’s newest film, “Midnight in the Switchgrass.” Randall’s newest film features appearances from Megan Fox, Bruce Willis, and Machine Gun Kelly. Despite all the fanfare, fans were quick to notice some possible shade towards the stars of the night seeping through Lala’s social-media posts that evening.
During the event Lala posted to her Instagram story standing in front of the film’s poster. Page Six reports that in the post Lala wrote “So excited for this!” She then placed the text in a way so that it blocked Megan Fox’s name from being seen on the the poster in the background. Lala also made several congratulatory posts to the film’s cast members, but excluded Bruce Willis and Megan Fox from the round up.
Why were fans so quick to notice these slights? Well, Bruce and Megan weren’t in attendance at premiere night. It seems people thought Lala was throwing shade at the stars who neglected her man’s big night. While we still aren’t sure where Bruce Willis was, Megan Fox was sure to make a statement about her decision.

“Due to the recent California mask mandate and rise of COVID cases, Megan Fox will no longer be attending the premiere tonight. We appreciate your understanding,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, Lala is out here making statements of her own. In an interview with Access Lala set the record straight. She admitted, “I am not very subtle when I shade people. If I was upset, I would have just straight up said it.” Ain’t that the truth.
“Unfortunately the headline is way more interesting then what I am about to tell you. My mom quickly took a picture of me, I was just standing next to the poster. She said, ‘Pose. I want to get a picture.’ I quickly said [typed] I am excited for the movie and posted it and then when in to watch the film,” Lala continued.

Lala also said, “I had no idea that people would take it the way that they did. If anybody understands the Covid concerns, it’s me. If you have a concern, I want you to stay home. I want you to feel safe.”
Megan Fox made sure to defend Lala too. In an interview with USA Today Megan remarked, “I really like Lala, so I can’t imagine she would be trying to do anything negative like that. She’s a lovely person.” Well, there you have it. It seems the shade was completely accidental. Darn it. I really could have used another star-studded ‘Money By Monday‘ fiasco.
