Tom Hardy As The Next James Bond Gets Pierce Brosnan’s Seal Of Approval

June 27, 2018

With Daniel Craig bidding adieu to the role of James Bond, the rest of the world is left wondering… who will be the next 007?

Recently, there have been talks of Emily Blunt replacing the English actor.

But since there has never been a female James Bond since the fictional Secret Service agent was created in 1953, the likelihood of this is pretty low.

Apparently, Tom Hardy (“Black Hawk Down”, “Mad Max”) stands a pretty good chance. According to Pierce Brosnan, that is.

Bets have been made on both Tom and Happy Valley actor, James Norton, to don the famous tuxedo. But the ringing endorsement from an ex-007 himself probably pushes Tom’s name to the top of the list.

Brosnan played the character four times, and is now throwing is weight on having Tom Hardy be Daniel Craig’s replacement, saying that the ‘Venom’ actor would bring a certain ‘wiggle’ to it.

Sounds like a championing, if we’ve ever heard one.

Brosnan said, “Daniel Craig has been an incredible Bond. He’s very physical, he looks lethal. You genuinely believe this is someone who could kill a man.”

“I think Tom Hardy could be a good Bond. I’d be happy to see him do it. You need an actor who can put a bit of wiggle into it – that’s what makes Bond,” he added.

We’ll have to wait until after Daniel Craig’s final James Bond movie to find out.
