She Defeats Black Democrat Mike Espy

The remnants of racism win again after Republican Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith defeated Mike Espy in the U.S. Senate runoff election in Mississippi.

According to CBS News, Hyde-Smith’s win will grow the Republican majority in the Senate to 53-47. “This win tonight, this victory, it’s about our conservative values,” Cindy said at her election party in Jackson. “It’s about the things that mean the most to all of us Mississippians: Our faith, our family. But it’s those things that I will take to Washington, D.C., that I want to represent all of Mississippians with these values. And I will fight for it, I assure you, every single day. I am your warrior.”

Hyde-Smith was appointed as Senator earlier this year by Republican governor Phil Bryant after Sen. Thad Cochran, also a Republican, stepped down. She faced off against Democrat Mike Espy, a Black man, in the general elections on November 6. However, they both had to advance to a run-off election because neither candidate won 50 percent of the vote. Hyde-Smith only won 41.2 percent, while Espy won 40.8.

Hyde-Smith’s campaign was filled with racist dog whistling. In one instance, she supported the idea of making it harder for certain people to vote and in another instance, she “joked” about attending a public hanging.

The Internet even dug up old pictures of Cindy posing with Confederate gear and captioning the pics “Mississippi history at its best!” And to add more sauce to Cindy’s racist resume…as a kid, she attended a private school founded to prevent racial integration, according to CBS News. 

Now with her win, Cindy told reporters that she will focus on the economy and prison reform while in Congress…

A questionable cause, considering she’s said she hates Black people in every possible way, without actually saying it.

Espy conceded to Cindy’s win, saying, “While this is not the result we were hoping for, I am proud of the historic campaign we ran and grateful for the support we received across Mississippi.”

 

He went on to say that this “is the beginning, not the end” and he promised that “we are not going to stop moving our state forward just because of one election.”

Of course, Trump was one of the first to congratulate Cindy on her win…

Smh, Amerikkka triumphs once again.
