Friends and Fans Pay Tribute to Chadwick Boseman One Year After His Passing
It’s been one year since the world lost Chadwick Boseman. The beloved actor, who passed away at 43, spent four years quietly battling colon cancer. And in his all-too-brief life, Boseman gave us some iconic performances, most notably as King T’Challa in Black Panther. It still seems irreconcilable in our minds that the man who loomed so large onscreen, who inspired fans across the globe, has left us.
Just last week, fans were treated to Boseman’s final performance in Marvel’s What If…?, where he lent his voice to the animated T’Challa as he explores an alternate existence as Star-Lord. And while Boseman is gone, his legacy lives on at the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts at Howard University, which was renamed in his honor. And of course, his memory stays alive in his friends, family, and fans.
Many took to social media today to remember Boseman and his impact.

It’s a testament to the gravity of Chadwick Boseman’s impact that a year after his passing the weight somehow feels heavier.
While we occupy these vessels for a brief moment in time, Chadwick showed us that through the love we have for others — we can be infinite.

Not a day goes by one year later, where it doesn’t still hurt. But in the darkness, he always reminds us of the light. He was an angel on this planet and is now a Saint on high. Love you and miss you more than ever… forever. #ChadwickBoseman https://t.co/uHOa8jLEKq
