This is what it's come to for Janellle Brown.
The long-time Sister Wives star used to live in a very nice house in Utah, residing in a cul-de-sac alongside her three spiritual spouses.
Then, she was convinced to move to Flagstaff, Arizona, mostly because her selfish husband, Kody, purchased a large plot of land on which he vowed to build a number of lovely homes.
Alas, said plot of land remains barren and Janelle had been renting a home for the last couple years.
But then we learned last month that the home Janelle had been renting had been sold and Janelle would be forced to move out.
Naturally, Kody would pony up a down payment for her, right?
Or at least fork over enough money to help Janelle pay the rent in a new place, right?
HA! Totally wrong. Kody Brown is basically broke, you guys.
We've known this for over a year, as the family opened talked about its financial struggles on the 2020 season of Sister Wives.
In case you need further proof, though, here it is:
Janelle Brown is now living in an RV.
No offense to anyone who enjoys relying on such a vehicle for shelter, they certainly can have their appeal.
We just can't imagine this is the life Janelle imagined for herself when she got together with Kody.
“So I have something fun to share. I acted boldly and seized an adventure. The rental where I was living was sold and I chose an alternative path to trying to find another rental,” the Sister Wives cast member wrote on Instagram on Sunday, June 27.
As you can tell, Brown is trying to make the best of it at least, adding:
“Not only is the housing market in Flagstaff as crazy as where you are I’m sure, rentals are even harder to come by.
"Presenting my new summer adventure – the RV life but camped on our property.”
The RV is sitting at Coyote Pass, the parcel of land that has yet to be developed by Kody.
It doesn't sound as if anything will ever be built there, which at minimum means things there will stay quiet for Janelle.
“Lots to do out here on the land so I figured why not be onsite," the 52-year old concluded.
"Honestly, I’m alternating between extreme excitement as I’ve always wanted to try this and anxiety at all the unknown variables. So stay tuned, this is about to get real!”
Janelle shares six kids with husband Kody, but only three still reside with her:
Garrison, 22, Gabe, 20, and Savannah, 16.
The couple's older children -- Logan, 27, Maddie, 25, and Hunter, 24 -- have all since moved out on their own.
Gotta wonder at this point if Janelle wishes she had joined them.
None of Kody's sister wives seem especially happy these days.
Speaking to Us Weekly in March, Janelle said she tries to not stick her nose into the business/relationships of the other women and Kody.
But it's clear he and Meri are struggling, and it's impossible for these struggles not to affect everyone within this unusual and very extended family.
“It really kind of hurts when I see them not good because it sort of spills over into the families,” Janelle previously told this magazine of Meri and Kody.
“It doesn’t feel like everything’s completely calm, completely whole. I’m always trying to advocate and go to bat for both of them. And it’s a hard thing, I think, really for the whole family.
"When one relationship struggles, they all struggle. … I know that they’ve had some deep troubles, but I don’t go asking.
"I just think sometimes they’re entitled to their privacy. And unfortunately, there’s not quite that level when you’re public.”
