Sarah Michelle Gellar, Selma Blair add 2020 twist to ‘Cruel Intentions’ kiss

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair put a 2020 twist on their famed “Cruel Intentions” kiss.

On Sunday, the actresses were given the Legendary Lip Lock prize during MTV’s Movie & TV Awards: Greatest of All Time show for their iconic smooch in the 1999 film.

While accepting the golden popcorn, Gellar, 43, and Blair, 48, re-created the kiss — but with clear plexiglass between them.

“Stay safe, MTV. And 2020, end soon,” Gellar said in the clip.

In the film, Gellar’s Kathryn Merteuil teaches Blair’s Cecile Caldwell how to kiss. The actresses were awarded the Best Kiss prize at the 2000 MTV Movie Awards.

In June, the longtime pals also re-created the kiss while celebrating Blair’s 48th birthday.

“Since I will have to stay six feet away from you today (and wear a mask) this will be as close as I get to giving you a birthday kiss,” Gellar captioned a post on Instagram at the time.
