David Blaine is famous for his death-defying illusions and wild endurance stunts, but on Tuesday, December 8, the magician will try a virtual performance to benefit children suffering from serious illnesses.
Blaine — who was last seen in September flying over the Arizona desert hanging from helium balloons — will headline Chai Lifeline’s inaugural Global Gala, a pre-Chanukah online event.
“Fauda” star and co-creator Lior Raz will host the gala to benefit NYC-based Chai Lifeline, an international children’s health support network which offers year-round programs and services for more than 5,900 children and families across the globe.
The Global Gala starts at 8 pm and is free and open to the public. Guests can RSVP at www.theglobalgala.com.
The event also honors Rabbi Yehiel and Shulamis Kalish.
