Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost and Michael Che got promoted from their gigs as WWE Monday Night Raw backstage commentators when they made their WrestleMania debut yesterday. After hiding out underneath the ring for a bit, the “Weekend Update” co-anchors emerged to face off yet again against Braun Strowman in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and things turned out about just as well as you’d expect for them — which is to say Jost was tossed out of the ring like a rag doll by Strowman, and the SNL writers certainly can’t say Strowman didn’t warn them:
Hey & , has a message for you!

And what happened when they came out of hiding:
At one point, Jost pleaded for nonviolence and even brought out his therapist in an attempt to convince Strowman, but that didn’t exactly work out as planned:

After destroying Jost and Che, Strowman offered up some thoughts: “They came into my business, to my house, and insulted me and what I do for a living, what I love. It was only a matter of time before I got my hands on those two guys, and, well, as you can see, it was well worth the wait.”
Che reflected on the whole experience in an Instagram Story, coming to a reasonable conclusion about his potential as a WWE superstar:
