An Oregon woman was surprised when she saw a mountain lion in napping in her living room.

Lauren Taylor says that the female mountain lion entered the back door of her home after she had been drinking from a fountain nearby.

‘The door was open and the room has huge plants and stairs built around real tree branches, so she likely didn’t even realize she was walking indoors until she was inside,’ she wrote on a Facebook post.

Lauren’s housemate screamed and slammed the door when she saw the animal. But, Lauren kept calm.

‘She immediately tried to leave through a closed window, became frightened when someone screamed, and hid behind the sofa,’ she continued.

Lauren noticed that the lion was frightened, agitated, and determined to exit the room. But since she couldn’t leave, she eventually calmed down and hid herself behind the couch.

The mountain lion fell asleep behind the sofa and stayed there for six hours. It often woke up and made eye contact with Lauren.

When the mountain lion was rested and calm, Lauren tried to coax it outside of the house. A video shows the mountain lion walking out of the house.

Lauren allegedly gave telepathic cues to the lion to get it to leave.

‘She roused and knew just what to do…. walking out through the open doors, through the yard, across the creek, and through the empty field behind us exactly as we had shown her,’ Lauren said.

‘I am hopeful and confident this cougar will not be back.

‘She was urged telepathically to go straight back through the open field into the hills and never come into town again for her own safety.

‘And she did go straight through the open field, away from homes when she left!’
