NYPD Widow Says Her In Vitro Baby Made Her Believe In God After Husband Was Killed In Line Of Duty
After her husband was killed in the line of duty, this woman gave birth to their “miracle baby” through in vitro fertilization three years after his death.
Pei Xia Chen, the widow of slain NYPD cop Wenjian Liu, just had her baby Angela baptized under the Catholic faith during Father’s Day weekend.

She said that after giving birth to her daughter who reminds her so much of her husband, she started believing in God and in miracles. Her husband, Wenjian, was shot and killed along with his partner Rafael Ramos in their police cruiser in 2014.
While her husband was laying in his death bed, doctors asked if she had wanted his semen preserved so someday she might have his child.
The day Chen was artificially inseminated, “she had a dream that Wenjian was there in a white gown looking like an angel and that he handed her a baby, and he said, ‘It’s a girl, a little angel,’”

Chen expressed that before giving birth to her child, she had no religion. But she wants to have faith in her life because of her daughter.
The proud mother had her baby baptized at the New York City’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral. After the christening former colleagues of her husband, including Police Commissioner James O’Neill, were among those who attended the baby’s celebration.
“I believe she’s a gift from God,” Pei Xia Chen said of Angelina, “and that’s the reason I wanted to baptize her. She’s like an angel to me, and she changed my life.”

“I want her to believe in God and have faith in her life. I want her to believe her father’s there, watching her from heaven.”
