This morning commute is a bit extreme, don’t you think?

Passengers on a New York Waterway Ferry were surprised to find a man in a suit paddling his way across the Hudson River on Thursday morning last week.

One passenger, Eunice Rivers, was taking the ferry when she spotted the man who was identified as Scott Holt.

Scott was dressed in a full suit and had a backpack on as he used a paddle board to go to work that day. Eunice was so shocked but she took her phone out and recorded the bizarre moment.

Scott, who lives in Jersey City, said in an interview that the reason he was using a paddle board to work was to save money. He also expressed that he almost ruined his expensive suit.

“There were wakes hitting me from all different directions and that got a little hard to get surprised by a wave,” Scott said. “I for sure almost went in a couple times.”

Scott also said he was running late for a meeting in New York City with a potential manager and thought that riding his paddle board across would be quicker than the usual commute. It apparently took him half an hour to reach the other side.

When he reached a closed taxi port, he was met with a very confused police officer and an irate Water Taxi Captain.

“The Waterway guy was straight out of a movie, screaming, ‘Are you trying to f****** die out here?'” Scott said. “He was being helpful but cursing me out at the same time.”

Fortunately for Scott, he was let off without a hitch and even made it to his meeting on time.
