Real Life “On The Run”: Rapper Southwest Mook Talks To BOSSIP 14 Days Before Jail Bid Begins
Formerly On The Run: Southwest Mook Talks 14 Days Before Turning Herself In…
Southwest Mook, a raptress from The D has been buzzing for her bars and over her upcoming jail time. Trouble found the rapper back in 2014 when Mook survived a life-threatening gunshot wound to the chest. At the time she was a fugitive and spent part of her recovery time handcuffed to a hospital bed before being transferred to the slammer. Mook bonded out of jail and released a mixtape “Free Gas”, garnering the attention of artists, producers and label execs like Slim Jxmmi of Rae Sremmurd, Mike Will Made It, DJ Kay Slay, Mike Epps and P of Quality Control…etc.
BOSSIP speaks to Southwest Mook exclusively just 14 days before she turns herself in for her sentence on how she plans to turn her unfortunately situation into a positive.
B: Can you explain briefly why you’re turning yourself into prison in 14 days?
SM: Cause I got into a police chase & had drugs on me.
B: How long is your sentence?
SM: 3 years – 20 years
More after the flip.
