A tourist at Xitian temple in Eastern China was met with instant karma after wanting to prank a monkey.

A video was being recorded by another tourist who captured the moment when the prankster pushed a resident rhesus monkey who was perched peacefully on top of a railing.

The tourist was immediately met with a surprise when the monkey was able to climb back out and over the railing and chase him at shocking speed.

The man is then seen entering a building as other onlookers laugh as he was chased by the monkey. Another monkey, who was apparently a clan mate of the one pushed into the pond, rushes into the room but it isn’t seen in the video what happens next.

A post made by the man on his social media showed that he received gashes and scratches on his face.

A temple employee said that after he was attacked by the other monkey, people inside the room were able to help the man by driving the monkey away.

That tourist learned the hard way that karma can surely come at you with shocking speed and with monkey claws too.
